  This is an international email user group focused on the sharing of information on the implementation of Basel II compliant Operational Risk Management solutions in the Financial Services industry. The next three years will place enormous strain on the resources of Operational Risk staff in the worlds Financial Services organisations. Why not learn from others and share information?   This forum was established to provide Disaster Recovery Planners, Business Continuity Planners and Emergency Planners with a facility through which they can share ideas, discuss issues of common interest and seek help from other practitioners.

  DailyBrief is a closed, unmoderated forum for the posting and sharing of open source intel and information, including white papers, position papers, reports, ideas, opinions, news, and press releases, related to emergency management, disasters, public safety, counter-terrorism and homeland security.



• Emergency Management Discussion List.
  The purpose of this group is to foster open communications among a wide array of emergency management professionals and others that deal with preparing for and managing emergencies and other disruptions. The list is moderated and is restricted to professionals in the areas of emergency management, mitigation, preparedness, response, disaster recovery, risk management, business continuity, counter-terrorism, crisis management, crisis communications, safety, security, and other related professions.



• Emergency Planning Online
  The Emergency Planning Online Internet group is independently managed on behalf of emergency management in the United Kingdom, but very much welcomes membership from our colleagues anywhere in the world, and is considered to be "owned" by it's subscribers.



• globalcontinuity.com BCP and DR Forum
  E-mail bulletin board which allows professionals involved in the business continuity and disaster recovery fields to discuss these subjects, share information and support each other. It will also provide a means of quickly sharing operational information in any future disaster scenario.



• IAEM ListServ
  The International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) Listserv is designed to provide a public forum for emergency managers to exchange ideas, thoughts, problems and solutions that relate to the emergency management profession. At the present time, the IAEM Listserv is not limited to IAEM members. This listserv should be used solely to share ideas and information related to emergency management. It is not a general discussion list.



• Incident Briefing Network
  Incident-Briefing-Network list serves the Search and Rescue (SAR), Disaster Response (DR), and Emergency Management (EM) communities. This list will distribute Alerts, Warnings, SITREPS, Briefs, Notices, Press Releases, and News Reports relative to on-going, probable, and highly possible incidents that could be categorized as disasters or major emergencies. Included will be: earthquakes, hurricanes, cyclones, typhoons, storms, floods, landslides, mudslides, tornados, avalanches, tsunami, and tidal waves, as well as national and/or international security events. The primary focus of this list will be the type of incident that requires a "broad spectrum" of emergency responders including search and rescue, emergency medical, communications, etc. whether those response units are government supported or a non-governmental organization (NGO) comprised of volunteers.



• Investigation Intelligence and Security Information Group (INVINTELPRO)
  INVINTELPRO list provides security professionals, government and law enforcement officials with timely and salient information on crime, terrorism, counter-intelligence and other security issues at the strategic level.



• Law Enforcement and Weapons of Mass Destruction Training Group (LE_WMDTraining)
  This is a group devoted to law enforcement equipment and training issues. Memebers are urged to post any and all training opportunities as well as new equipment developements. All messages and requests for membership will be approved by the administator.



• SARS and Business Continuity
  This group allows business continuity professionals to share information and experiences in dealing with the business continuity aspects of the SARS disease. 'SARS and business continuity' is a joint initiative by http://www.continuitycentral.com and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/uk-bcp. The group is moderated to avoid SPAM problems.
